Last Update; Feb. 09, 2021
No, not trying to hang Emmy. That's the handle on the poop scoop!
Everybody has a terrific forever home!!!
< Reba/Sakira on her way to her new forever home! All the way to central Illinois. Rumor has it she was a good girl!
One of her new best friends is a funny looking Akita. How'd she get on the sofa Troy?
"Yipppeee! REAL TOYS at this house. And, nobody trying to take um' away either! I'm going to like this set up!"
"My tummy is a little bouncy! Not sure I like this car thing."
< How's that for ADORABLE!!!
02/21/2020 Babies will be 8 weeks old tomorrow!! Only EmmyLou is in need of a new forever home!
They're in the Flying Nun stage
The twins, as I like to refer to them, are still hard to tell apart. Emmy has mismatched socks in the front. Loretta's match. Also Loretta has the white on the back of her neck. They seem to be the most popular among our visitors.
Oak leaves, a popular item!
She's watchin' her daddy.
The old saddle blanket. Another popular item!
"If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times...!"
Apparently she feels very secure at her new home!
Reba/Sakira "Kira" for short.
8 weeks already. They're starting to be a handful. They love playing on the deck but it's just too cold to be out for long. Supposed to be nice this weekend. Fingers crossed. They don't bite me that much cuz they know gamma' doesn't like it. I think they already know what, "Wanna' go outside?" means. They're so smart.
02/25/2020 Babies will be 8 1/2 weeks old tomorrow!! Still only EmmyLou is in need of a new forever home! One of the nicest in the litter. Her coat is definitely the nicest of all.
Her ears are workin' on it. She's always the first in my lap. Very calm and loving little girl. Comparatively.
Out on the deck loungin' with some cookies. Loretta lays in the snow.
Kato sassin' me. Look at his ONE black toe. >
Steps are still scary. Thank God!
There's a gait that separates the puppy area from the steps but it's a great place to get a little cooperation for picture taking. At least they're all facing in the same direction when I stand at the bottom of the steps. Mostly hehe
I called them when they were all at the other end. Look who comes running!
Better late than never??? > Typical Akitas!
Sorry for the delay on the pictures. I just finished tax return #80. I've got all I can do to keep everybody around here happy. I've got about 75 to go. 1/2 way there! Please bear with me.
Molly/Aspen comfy at her new home!
02/27/2020 Takin' a break from the taxes. Took the shots below this morning. Babies will be 9 weeks in a couple days.
Reba/Sakira I think she looks pretty happy at the new pad.
That cage is in the hallway and it makes a barrier between Suji and the pups. Plus they can see me, at the computer, which is where I work and play. :) The door is always open yet 3 of the 4 are kinda' jammed in. Talk about rubber Akitas. Look at Patsy's head. And look at Emmy! I woke the girls but not Garth..
Little reminder for those of you who are bringing a puppy home to other dogs. Not only do you need to make sure the older dogs have a place to escape monster puppy, you have to make sure puppy doesn't get too much heavy exercise trying to keep up with the big kids! They can wreck those fast growing joints.
< He looks like he's planning something naughty!
See the lack of > cooperation? It was such a cute shot and then right at the split second I click... I swear they do it on purpose!
Safe zone under the bench!
Well, under the bench is a safe zone, UNLESS, you're playing tug-o- war!
Is she makin' fun of my kitty statue? >
Big loud truck was coming up the hill. I told um' if they don't be good I was going to go get the big truck... hehehe >
Emmy went to live with her brother Garth!!!
03/10/2020 and everybody left. Pretty quiet around here!!
Babies just turned 10 weeks and here they are at their new homes!!!
Forgot, I took a bunch of pictures a couple days before they left. They got butcher bones again. NUMMY!!!
I'm taking a break from labeling. You know who they are!
Garth is now Kato and Reba is Sakira!
Dolly is now Aspen and Loretta is Kuma. We have 3-4 Kuma's now. Have to say that's the most popular name around here!
Patsy is Emiko, "Emi" and Emmy was an impulse buy and I don't think they have come up with a name yet.
Emmy went with Garth/Kato and his very large new family.
Another reason it's was time to go, a couple of them got a runny eye. I just talked to Tim, who's got Loretta, and he said hers is all cleared up now. They love to use their paws and I think they got scratched.
Patsy/Emi at her new look out station!
Below, with Patsy/Emi is her new big brother Harry. Brett and Janeane rescued him after they lost our Peach/Alex. Big handsome man. They don't know what happened to his ears but we don't care. He likes his new little sister and that's more important!
Gorilla baby and her pals :)
April 1st, 2020 and here are some shots I just found. Must have taken right before all the kids left. I miss my little monsters. And their mother almost done blowing her coat!
So, some of us are angels, others, not so much!!!
Proof! You can see Dolly/Aspen's report cards from day care below. :)
Patsy/Emi the, not so much >
04/29/2020 Four months old now! These guys still sleep a lot. They're still just babies. Plus, Emmy and Garth have a million kids to wear them out!
Entering the gawky stage. They'll be strange looking for the next month or so. They grow soooo fast!!!
Everybody is potty trained by now. Right gang? :)
A couple of them it only took a week. Or less. They're so smart!!!
< Look at what Reba/Sakira's mama made. Comparing her to Momma Ahmee. Pretty close huh?
Patsy/Emi may be > destroying the entrance so the kitties can't hide! Or, it's just fun wrecking stuff!?!?!
Aaaaa! Cool grass on my tummy!
Legs must have grown 4" since they left!!!
05/04/2020 And I have no idea how old they are now. 4 months? :)
Here's Loretta/Kuma with her new big sister. No, I didn't sell a female to a family with a female. That pretty big girl belongs to Kuma's daddy's daughter. I stupidly already forgot her name. She's not related to us. But a beauty she is!
07/19/2020 Look at how big my babies are!!! Seems like they just left. New YoYo babies comin' in about a month and a half. I can't wait!
Here's Dolly/Aspen. Look like her mother or what???
Reba/Kira. LOVE that they're staying dark. Kira must have been working on ear growth this week. It'll all even out. :)
It's 08/30/2020 today and this gang is 8 months old.
Kim said that Reba/Kira is 26.5" @ 87 lbs. According to my chart they're not supposed to get that big, ever. At age 2 the girls are supposed to be 25" and 85 lbs.
< There's a handful. That's Dolly/Aspen with her little human. hehe
Below, there she is again with her other little human. GOOD GIRL!!!
Patsy/Emi. Another BIG girl. Everybody is doing well! >
You'd have to ask Brett what she's doing on that table. :)
Here's the BIG girl Reba/Kira. So far she's getting along with all her new furry friends and she's a hit at the dog park!
< Dolly/Aspen and her best buddy!
I've had a couple of these photos for a little while now. Finally getting around to posting them.
