< Garth is having some hair issues today. I think his mother was just giving him a bath. He loves to sleep on top of the puppy pile. He goes from pile to pile until one of the piles cooperates.

Guess he's not the only one. Next time I go in there everybody will be all spic and span. It's rather miraculous and it's an Akita thing. hehe

01/13/2020 Almost 2 1/2 weeks! Eyes are starting to open!

We decided to hold off on the visits planned for the 18th. They're just not mature enough for us to see who's naughty and who's nice. :) They'd drive all the way up here and just see more sleeping puppies.

I think I forgot to tell you their weights when I weighed them before de-worming. At two weeks of age. Loretta and Garth were the smallest at roughly 2.25 lbs. Emmylou and Reba were almost 3 lbs. Molly and Patsy were about 2.5 lbs. I think you can see Garth and Loretta catching up now that they get puppy slop.

01/16/2020 Two days short of THREE WEEKS!

Now we're seeing little eyeballs!

01/19/2020 THREE WEEKS and one day. It's like they turned into real little people over night. Next couple weeks is my favorite time. Though they already growl, at stuff they're not happy with, they're still mostly unnaughty. :) Pretty soon they're all going to think their names are, "Now you be nice!" or, "Bite nice!"

No more blankees. It's time for all newspaper. They're starting to poo like baby buffalo! They'll get a little dingy, white = gray, butttttt.....

Switched to the big pan. Seems they're getting too big for that too. Another week and I'll keep that pan full of DRY Purina Puppy Chow.

At least the ratio between food in um' and food on um' is improving. I know, it's hard to tell.

Took her a minute to figure out how to lift her back legs over the edge of the pan. Sliding around...

They just ate. As usual got more on um' than in um'.

This pix is about a week old. Dolly. Problem child. I just found it up above overlapping somebody else. Must have gotten distracted that day... Can't imagine! She's really not a problem child. She's the first born and may have a longer neck than the others due to tugging on her trying to free her from her mother. :) That took a couple years offa' my life. Then she complained like, FOREVER, until I was ready to put her back in! When you haven't slept, sooo tired... Happy to report, she grew outta' the whining. THANK GOD!
