Two examples of what they cook up for us.

This spot is reserved for Patty n' Mark. Not sure they're ready yet. They're passing on this gang.
This baby girl is moving to British Columbia, Canada. New puppy mama, Niamh, may wait for Ahmee's next litter cuz she loves the darker babies. We'll see. :)
Some recent pictures of Ma n' Pa. Took these 3/20/20 but, too busy to get um' on here. I know the date cuz I always use it to name the batch when downloading from the camera.
The girl is ALWAYS happy!
My handsome boy turned 2 in January. He's still got some filling out to do. He's HUGE and making HUGE babies.
This guy is going to live with Cody and his gang. They used to be owned by Cutler/Kiyoshi.
08/09/2020 Here are a couple of YoYo n' Ari's older babies. I think they're perfect ! hehe
Below, that's Rachel/Lexi from the "Friends" litter.
And, Phoebe/Meisa, same litter. They'll be a year old on Sept. 20th, 2020
08/16/2020 Two weeks to go!!!
Puppy room is all bleached and ready to go. Got the a/c in yesterday and I'll start bringing YoYo in next weekend. Why is it time goes by so fast unless you're waiting for something? :)
Next pictures you'll see here will be baby pictures!!!
08/23/2020, so I lied. I brought YoYo into the house tonight and she'll be living in here for the next couple months. We've got EIGHT DAYS TO GO! Give or take... It's funny, I take her out to go potty and she does her thing and heads right back to the house. Usually she runs straight back to her kennel. They're so smart. She doesn't look that big, compared to some, but we still have a week to go. I bet there are six or seven of um' in there. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!
Had the camera out on the deck railing while I was fixing the puppy fencing on the deck. The hammering shook the camera offa' the rail and crash. Oops. At least it didn't fall the other way and down on the rocks below.
Hope that's NOT why these pictures are yellow!?!?!?!
Standing kinda' stupid. :)
The happiest Akita I know!!
08/28/2020 THEY'RE HERE!!!
Two days early. Like clock work with this sweet mama!
I never actually saw Ari and YoYo have a "picnic" so I counted 63 days from the first day I put them together. I didn't think she was quite ready but apparently I was wrong.
I came home from the dentist yesterday around 4:30 and YoYo wasn't laying by the door where she usually is. I panicked and ran in there. I thought maybe she got into something. Never occurred to me that it was time. There was a little wet blob laying next to her. I frantically searched for others but thank God she'd only had the one and he was doing just fine. WHEW!!!
#1 BOY - born around 4:15 p.m. August 27th 2020!!! He's a handsome pinto with tons of white. > His tail is 1/2 white. You can see his nose. The pad of his nose will turn black in 2-4 weeks but the white will stay white. He's got a large white ring all the way around his neck.
#2 GIRL - born 7:40 p.m. She took her own sweet time getting here. She too has a white ring around her neck but not nearly as wide as #1's. She has a tiny white spot on her rump which will help with identifcation. She's got a white nose like boy #1 but not nearly as large. She came out butt first and had me worried but I think she may be the largest of the four. I'll weigh them in a day or two. Don't wanna' make mama nervous.
#3 BOY - born 8:45 p.m. This little man has less white than his older brother and the white ring, around his neck, only goes down one side. He also has a white nose but doesn't cover as much area as boy #1. He's also got a thin white streak that goes up his side from his right rear leg.
#4 BOY - born 11:20 p.m. He came out brown. The other three are black and white. They'll all get lighter. You can compare these guys to Yo's first two litters and see what they'll look like when they get big. Both of his front legs are totally white. 1/3 of his tail is white.
What are we going to nickname this litter???
I bet they're already little one pounders. They'll have plenty of chow so they'll get big fast.
More pictures as soon as we all get some sleep. Stay tuned!
I was going to go with Japanese motorcycles theme but Cody, the first pick guy, previously owned by Cutler/Kiyoshi, come up with the "Beatles". Thanks Cody!!!

The "Beatles". THANKS CODY!
08/29/2020 Babies are on their second day and all's well!
They all seem to be doing well. Just by feel I think George is the smallest and Yoko is the biggest. It usually doesn't stay that way. Maybe I'll weigh them tomorrow. All their coats are very nice.
For some reason, George seems to always be at the bottom of the pile. Since there are only four babies I'll label just a couple on each photo. Can you see the little black spots starting to come in on their noses? The spots keep coming until their noses are totally black. Quite amazing.
Yoko is the only one without a stripe on her face. Can you see the two little black dots on her nose?
I'll try to get pictures every other day but corporation extensions are due on Sept. 15th so I may bet a little busy.
Can you see they're getting lighter already? The black is more brown and the brown is more tan.
< There's George! Out from under the pile!
08/30/2020 Babies are 3 days old.
I weighed them. Paul is actually the biggest by about 2 ounces. He's a pound and a half.
Yoko is a couple ounces short of a pound and a half. George and Ringo both weighed a pound and a quarter. They're little lunkers. Bigger than I thought.
Their mama is keeping them very clean. You can see their coats just shine.
George's nose will take a little longer to turn black. There are very few flaws that can keep them from the show ring. One is a long coat. We won't have any of them in this generation because Ari isn't a carrier. Takes both parents.
Another is a bad tail. We've never had one of those. The third is a "butterfly nose". That's a spotted nose. Talkin' just the leathery part of the nose. Not the muzzle. Noses must be all black except for on the white Akitas. Theirs can be black or brown.
^ What's that dance called where everybody gets in a line... The Bunny Hop?
Paul's nose is almost filed in I think. Below you can see more dots on Yoko's nose. Pretty cool how that works.
09/01/2020 Babies are 5 days old AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODD!!!
Well, little tubs they are. I bet they've almost doubled in weight. I have to use two hands to lift them now. It's not that I'm a weakling, they wiggle and squirm! Their eyes won't open for another week or so. Their ears aren't plastered to their heads anymore so they're probably starting to hear me. They've probably heard me say, "Careful", to their mother a hundred times.
It's looking like Ringo is going to Cody and his gang. They liked him from the start and then decided to take whomever I nicknamed Ringo. Guess that was meant to be! Not the best way to pick a puppy but they were owned by Cutler/Kiyoshi making us all confident in the choice. AND, our Canadian friend, Niamh, is going to wait for Ahmee's spring litter. That means Yoko is available.
You can right click on any of these photos and save them on your computers/phones. Just wait until they're 3-4 weeks old. Soooooo cute!!!!
One boy and one girl are available. We don't know which boy yet. Either George or Paul.
09/02/2020 Babies will be a week old tomorrow! Seems like that went fast but it also seems like they're a well established part of the family and I've known um' for years. Smaller litters will do that I guess. Usually at a week I'm still trying to figure out who's who and which nickname... I already know these guys and I think I can identify them from any angle. hehe
Ringo was complaining today cuz he got away from the group and couldn't find his way back. I put him back in the pile but he kept complaining.
I started petting him and talking real quietly and he calmed right down and went to sleep. Instantaneously. That was cool.
The litter is AKC registered as of today. Their papers should come in about 2 weeks. Then their new people have to fill out the papers and send um' back.
See how light Ringo is getting already?
If you're wondering where the loose fur is coming from, like on Yoko and Ringo's faces below... The mama's lose all the hair on their tummies for the first couple weeks. Makes for a nice clean dining area. :)
Niamh decided to wait. Starting to get cold up there and airlines aren't shipping animals right now - COVID. She'll get moved to first pick female from the next litter.
09/04/2020 Babies are eight days old. They're really fat!
09/07/2020 Babies are eleven days old. They're still really fat!
Video of Ringo. My first try. Lemme' know if y'all can see it?!?!
< Guess I don't know them from every angle. :)
When they hit two weeks I'll start puppy slop and do their first de-worming. I don't wanna' start feeding them yet. I think they're too fat already!
Now THAT is a > FAT TUMMY!!
09/09/2020 Babies will be 2 weeks old tomorrow! I'll weigh them and de-worm them but I think I'll hold off on the puppy slop for a couple days. Mama is looking good and holding up quite well. None of the babies are restless or seem lacking. Soooo, we'll let nature take it's course a tad longer in the chow department.
PAUL is moving down to Chicago to be a Bear fan! Felicia and her gang may also take Yoko. We're undecided at this point.
And, GEORGE is moving to Madison with Kelly and her clan. They too are on their second Akita from us.
Baby girl, YOKO, is movin' in with Jon and Tracy who were first owned by Pippin'/Bubba and now Beast/Bo. Baby makes three!
