Welcome to Page #4 of our "Friends" litter. Born Sept. 20, 2019!
10/23/2019 Babies are two days short of five weeks! We're out playing on the deck with our mama.
Last to come out and first to go in! >
The shortest distance between two points is sometimes over your brother!
"Don't you come into my house without askin'!!!"
10/27/2019 Babies are just over 5 weeks!
Below, we're meeting Liberty, "Libby", the Persian kitty.
Took these a couple days ago but Jess and Barb were here and took some really cute ones on Saturday!!! See below :) THANK YOU!!!
Gunther/Koda is still the only placement we know so far. Both girls are spoken for but we don't know who's going where yet. One of the girls will be named LEXI ! We'll know in a couple days which boy(s) are available.
There's Jess holding Phoebe. > Thanks again for the great pictures you guys!
Rachel is going with Barb and Jessica. Her new name is LEXI !!!
Phoebe is going with Rich and Renee but we don't have a new name just yet.
Joey is going with Matt and Jill but we don't have a new name yet either.
Chandler and Ross are still available!!!
10/29/2019 Babies are 5 1/2 weeks! Everybody played on the deck today except Gunther/Koda. He watches from the threshold safe and sound. I almost coaxed him out today. We won't pressure him! Chandler finally decided it was really fun!
Joey and Phoebe are always the first two out. Phoebe is a monster! You may be sorry Renee! hehehe
< Those oak leaves are pretty popular!
Couple of a cool crappy pictures. > You guys can right click on any of these pictures and save them to your computer. :)
< Rachel/Lexi eye ballin' that pig's ear!
< Rachel/Lexi sleeping with her chin in the water. I woke her up for fear she'd drown. hehehe
Below, that's Ross! He's still available!!! Below Ross is Gunther. :)
Gunther and Chandler. Chandler finally came out but Gunther's just not ready. He likes to think about stuff and he's his own man!
So pitiful. Don't worry, I went and sat by him so he didn't feel left out. >
< Phoebe > Look at her sitting in the corner of the deck watching stuff. Mean while that's Joey killing the oak leaf. >
We've got it figured out. Chandler is available!!! >
11/04/2019 Babies are almost 6 1/2 weeks old. Man that time flew!
Beth and Mellow came to visit this past weekend. They chose Ross!
Rich and Renee decided to name Phoebe - Meisa. Perfect fit for a beautiful Akita girl !
^ Gunther/Koda escaped the puppy pen and explored the front deck. That's him tipping over some drift wood I have out there.
Course all the photos came out blurry and the snow didn't last.
In the pix below you can see the open gate that leads to the puppy pen. Top of the photo; there are three steps to the ground. Nobody has tried the steps which is totally normal. >
You can see their excitement. At this young age they know they're freeeee with a new place to explore! Think that's Phoebe playing tug-o-war with a vine.
"Hi, I'm Meisa. Whatcha' feel like doin'?"
Cuz if you don't think of somethin' she will ! hehehe
They may look all innocent and cuddly but you should see my hands and arms! Actually they're not too vicious yet. I can still clean their room without guarding my ankles!
Rachel/Lexi pretty comfy on the deck!
"Hi, I'm Koda and I'm soooo handsome!"
< There ya go Barb! Lexi submitting to her sister Meisa. :)
Below, Chandler biting the fencing.
11/07/2019 Babies will be 7 weeks old tomorrow! They just had their first gamma' cookies. They were a hit!!!
Brown rice, liver, flax seed flour, egg and a little honey! If I can make them, ANYBODY can! Ask for recipe if interested.
Impersonating Phoebe with snow on nose.
Phoebe/Meisa is leaving tomorrow and Joey is leaving on Sunday. Sad, but easier!
Daddy watching from his kennel. Handsome boy!!! But does EVERY puppy have to look like him?
11/13/2019 Babies are almost 8 weeks old! Sorry for my absence! These guys are a handful and there are only 4 still here. Rachel/Lexi is leaving on Sunday. Not sure about Gunther/Koda and Ross/Hachi yet. And, CHANDLER is STILL AVAILABLE!
Phoebe/Meisa on her way to her forever home!
Also, they're getting really hard to take pictures of. Some of you have heard me say, back when we had to actually have film developed, I'd get a lot of shots with no puppy. Nice shots of the deck boards cuz they NEVER slow down. Unless you want pictures of them sleeping which is pretty boring...
Or ducking behind a post!
< Or peeing cuz that's the only time they hold still !
< One of two shots I got of Chandler and was purposely trying to get a couple for advertising.
Why couldn't he pose like Lexi? >
I shut them out on the deck, a couple times a day, to clean the puppy room. Otherwise it's IMPOSSIBLE!!! After about 15 minutes this is what I get.
There's Chandler above! Second born, very smart, and just as naughty as everybody else!
There's Joey at his new forever home! They're not sure of his new name yet. They're leaning towards "Clyde". What's really cool is he's only about 20 minutes away and living with my friends of over 20 years! Be good Joe Smoe!!
11/17/2019 Babies are 8 weeks and 2 days old today. I took Rachel/Lexi to her new mamas today. Only two guys still here.
Took these a couple days ago.
< Hey Mellow! Hachi is making a face at you!!!
Ross/Hachi has some really neat eyes. I don't think they're supposed to be that light but I think they're really cool !
Chandler is still available!!
DRUM ROLL!!! Lexi's new buddy Jess gave me a new camera!!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!!
So much easier when you don't have to fight the camera, and the puppies, to get a good shot!!!
Chandler has one ear trying to go up already!
Chandler's a happy boy! >
Still experimenting with the camera. :)
Lexi just got home today and look who's the boss already!
11/20/2019 Nine weeks in a couple days. Rachel/Lexi weighed 18 pounds at her first vet appointment. Couple days ago @ 8 1/2 weeks. Lard ass!
Everybody take POO samples into the vet when they go.
These two guys are still in puppy jail. Actually, they LOVE the deck. One of them scratched at the door this morning to go out. Pretty spectacular!!! Akitas are so cool !!!
I'm taking a labeling break. Only the two boys still here. Chandler has a white nose and Ross/Hachi has a totally black face. As I'm sure you know by now. :)
Chandler is a talker! First to alert, first to sass. hehehe
People always ask me how I can let them go. Imagine 6-9 of
< those. They've been playing in the rain on the deck and havin a ball!
11/26/2019 Almost nine and a half weeks. They're probably close to 20 pounds now. Chandler still needs a family to watch over.
Chandler rules the roost.
Mom watching from the kennel.
We made all our big kids blaze orange collars that slip over their regular collar in case somebody decides to take off during deer hunting season. Can't see Yo's real well cuz the reflective tape sewn down the center is causing glare.
Well, it'll be Thanksgiving in a couple days so I made a turkey. Guess who got the drum sticks? Don't worry, I took them away before they could chew the bones. I don't think their little jaws are strong enough yet but I wouldn't chance it. If it was dry I didn't hear any complaints. :)
At nine weeks we all started the one ear up and one ear down thing. ADORABLE!
Below, that's Phoebe/Meisa and this coffee table bit seems to be a thing with baby Akitas.
12/03/2019 Babies are 10 1/2 weeks. Ross/Hachi and Chandler are still here. I'm thinkin' they weigh 20 pounds by now. The baby scale got too small for them weeks ago. I've been TRYING to get some pictures but they're just too busy to be still. They have no sense of the word COOPERATION!
< Joey has a new home, a new family and a new name. DRUM ROLLLLL - CLYDE!
These next few are Rachel/Lexi playin' in the > snow. Apparently she's a bit of a monster. I'm sure Jess is just making that up! hehe
12/ 06/2019 My little tiny babies are almost big enough to knock me on my rear. Sometimes I think maybe that's their goal. :) 11 weeks today!
It's really hard getting good pictures. They're either jumping all over me or racing around like the frontal labotomy's weren't successful.
Plus, to be honest, I need a break between litters.
Came up with a brilliant plan. I'd let them out, onto the front part of the deck. Then I could take pix while they explored.
Most ALL the pups I've ever had around here, were afraid of the steps. Couple weeks ago two of these guys followed me down.
