Welcome to Page #2 of YoYo n' Ari's 2nd Litter
Last Update; Jan. 09, 2021
09/27/2019 Babies are a week old.
They're going to start really cruisin' around any day now. Their eyes should open this week. As soon as their little ears lay down then we'll know they can hear me.
I woke him up. He's yawning. hehe
You can see the pink on their noses is starting to fill in with little black dots. Soon to be totally black.
I try to take the same number of photos of each but some just don't turn out. Wait until they get bigger and even more uncooperative. Sometimes I'll get a shot that doesn't even have a puppy in it. :)
I put the girls together this time Jess. :)
09/28/2019 Eight days old!
Ross is the only boy with no white on his face. So, he and Rachel have all black faces. Except maybe their chins.
They all love tummy scratchin', and kisses!
Guess it's almost time for a de-worming. I may start trying to feed them puppy slop this week too.
10/01/2019 Babies are 11 days old today. But, all the chowing down photos were taken supper time yesterday. They were all complaining, I think from the heat, so I fed um'. Cured everything. :)
Most only needed one nose dunk, except Gunther, who's the biggest. He needed about four nose dunks. Quite typical of the fat guys. They only want their mother.
Always amazes me. They can't see, or hear, but no trouble with the chow. hehehe
< Mom, look at that smirk. Happy for two reasons, I'm helping with the feeding AND, the best reason, she knows she gets the left overs. I always make too much. :) She's been eating Purina Puppy Chow since the "picnic" but for some reason it takes better all mushed up.
Healthy little tubs. Their mama is doing a GREAT job!!!
Took these today, Tuesday the 1st of October.
10/02/2019 and babies are 2 days short of 2 weeks. I'll de-worm them, for the first time, at 2 weeks.
They're supposed to look like baby bears. > Look at that face!!!
Gunther is the biggest at this point. Phoebe is the smallest. Only by ounces.
Gunther is also on the move the most. They already leave the group to go off and go potty. And so the "Akita potty dance" begins.
At least they don't go back and forth, like 17 times before they pee, like their mother!
There's Rossie climbing over the puppy pile!
Whew! Made it, perfect spot !!
I'll weigh them all on Friday before I de-worm um'.
Okay, haven't done that yet. Later today. Weights posted tomorrow or a.s.a.p. 10/04/2019 Babies are TWO WEEKS TODAY!!! I took the chowing pictures last night though.
The boys. See all four? The girls were sleeping over by me.
EVERYBODY turns their head or hides when I have the camera. Sick of it, or, typical Akita, or, is the flash buggin' um'?
Mom comes in for the clean up. Thankfully!!!
Phoebe trying to > break out. Knows mom is right there. I had to add the second board to the doorway today. Chandler has been out twice so I just added the first board like, two days ago.
Looks like Ross is the first to be up on all fours.
Sorry, my hair in the photo. Totally natural by the way. :) Wanted you to see the pup underneath. Five babies snuggling with gamma'. One way over there.
That's Ross in the middle. Does he love his gamma' or am I just nice and warm? Pretty precious no matter how you cut it. :)
Does this mean Chandler is more of a loner? Too early to tell? We'll see. :)
10/06/19 Babies are 16 days old today. At 14 days I weighed them and de-wormed them. Ross is the biggest at almost 4 pounds. Doesn't sound like much but they were only a pound, at birth, 2 weeks ago.
Ross also YIPED!, like I was killing him, when I gave him his meds. I'll spend a little extra time with him. Gunther and Rachel are the most calm at this point.
In order of birth;
#1 Joey = 3.5 lbs.
#2 Chandler = 3.25 lbs.
#3 Gunther = 3.75 lbs.
#4 Ross = almost 4 lbs.
#5 Phoebe = 3.5 lbs.
#6 Rachel = 3.5
Chandler went from one of the biggest to the smallest. That changes all the time. Especially when they start eating "Purina Puppy Chow" slop. Right now they look like they all gained another pound. Took these photos last night.
We're past the age of mommy squishing so I can finally relax a little!!!
They aren't that into eating slop yet. Mom gets most of it. But, they look like they're doing just fine and so's mom.
^ Joey has a spot in his spot !!! Mokushi means spot. :)
We're on newspaper now so the days of pretty white feet are gone.
I put > Chandler over on the Joey n' Ross pile.
I screwed up when counting weeks. They won't be 7 weeks until November 8th. They can leave any time after the 8th. I'd prefer after the 15th but that's up to you guys, and the puppies. Any intraverts should probably stick around a little longer.
Either one or two boys still available. We don't know whom yet.
10/07/2019 Babies are 17 days old. I think I took these shots last night. If I'm not posting for a couple days it's cuz I'm really busy with tax returns. Extensions due on the 15th!!
Can you guys tell them apart now? Okay, I'll keep labeling. I'm just starting to get to know their little personalities. They're all pretty laid back unless it gets too warm in the puppy room. Then they all let me know about it.
10/09/2019 Babies will be 3 weeks old in 2 days. They're really good babies and their mama is doing a fabulous job!
"We're supposed to look like baby bears."
Rachel & Chandler seem to be the most independent at this stage. We'll see when it's time to explore the big new world. Ross & Phoebe usually end up in my lap.
Hard to tell Joey & Gunther apart from their faces except Gunther's nose is almost black already.
Tummy scratchin's. Life is soooo hard.
We're up to two slop feedings a day now.
10/11/2019 THREE WEEKS OLD!!! I took 29 pictures and only about 1/2 turned out. Wiggle worms!
Below, I took um' out of the big cage to bleach. First big adventure!
Cute butts!!! Mom keeping an eye on um'!
Rich n' Renee are comin' this weekend. They have 2nd pick girl. Mike n' Rosa are comin' to visit too. They have 1st pick boy. I'll get um' to hold pups for photos.
I got in the cage with the puppies so YoYo grabbed one of my flip flops and started whipping it in the air. Then she laid down and started chewing on it. Apparently I'm supposed to pay attention to her and not the babies.
