First Pick Male - Due to some very unfortunate circumstances I have to knock everybody down a rung. I'm sorry. I never expected I'd lose my big buddy so soon.
Second Pick Male - This guy is staying in Wisconsin, over in Washburn, with his new mama Laurie.
First Pick Female - And this baby girl is going to live with her big brother Moe/Crixus. Picture of him below.

He wanted in with Yo so, without thinking, I put him in. By the time I realized it wasn't her turn it was too late. I'm praying it was one of the best mistakes I've ever made. These were taken on the 5th of January. I found him dead on the morning of the 7th. So sad. Plan B, we use one of Yo's older pups to breed Ahmee.
YoYo is looking nice and healthy. First let's pray for a litter, and then pray some more for a large litter! We need 4-5 boys!

01/30/2021 Below, YoYo with 38 days to go! I'm pretty sure we've got babies coming. I'll know for sure in the next week or so.
I sure miss him. I hope the next few weeks go really fast. I need some puppy breath!
Yo ran up the deck and stood by the door to the puppy room. I think that was a good sign! :)
02/09/2021 Twenty eight days to go and I'm 100% sure we're cookin' puppies!!!
I've been staying busy. I've done 24 tax returns so far and I've got one coat of paint on the floor of the whelping box. About 130-140 more returns to do and one more coat of paint. Maybe two.
Before and after. After probably 25 years. Pete built this thing to contain a very naughty GSD. He had to put medal reinforcements all around on the inside to keep "Digger" from chewing his way out. After years and years of major abuse I finally had to re-paint it. Don't look real close. :)
Hope I got the correct paint for the job!
Guess we'll find out in a month or three.
I'll try to get some more pictures of Mama YoYo but it's too darn cold to be messin' with that lately. Maybe when I bring her in. Wanna' hold off as long as I can cuz Yo is acclimated to ZERO degrees and it's 68 in here.

02/10/2021 Twenty seven days to go! Means twenty five for Yo! One of her litters I didn't actually see Ari and YoYo havin' a "picnic" so I counted 63 days from the first day I put them together. Rather be safe than sorry. 63 days gestation. They're viable at 57 days. Whelped on the 60th day. The other two litters were two days early. My guess was Ari didn't get lucky until the second day and all three litters were 2 days early. That's how she rolls :) Anybody's birthday on March 7th?

I honestly think she's bigger than usual at this stage in the game. If we go back to previous litters I doubt I was 100% sure by five weeks. I'll go check it out.
She's definitely bigger this time by comparison. Maybe she's just carrying them lower as she gets older?
She almost looks bigger now than she was full term during the previous litters. You can see for yourselves from the Home Page. Scroll down to the litters. First page of each.
Baby Domo Arigato II is in there! "Ari too". I realize that's kinda' the wrong "too" but this one works for me. I'm going to pretend Ari didn't leave me and losing him was just a really bad dream. :(
Below, that's Moe/Crixus. He and his kitty are waiting...
Crixus is one of our long coats out of the Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe litter. They just turned SEVEN in January. I hope he likes his new little sister as much as he seems to tolerate that cat! Guess there is a 25% chance that we could get long coats back with the planned breeding of Ahmee and Domo Arigato Two/Too! Ari senior wasn't a carrier but we're not sure about Junior or the girls. That's okay, we love the fuzzy ones too!!!

My alarm clock took a dump two-three days ago. It keeps going off at 8:00 a.m. Last night, for some reason, it went off at midnight. I went in to take YoYo outside to go potty and BABY GIRL! Still wet. Thank you Lord for that wake up call ! Lightest of all the pups and the only one without white on her back. Daddy ditto I think.
3:10 a.m. Mr. born butt first has lots of white. White nose, 1/2 a white tail and his white collar is a bit of a mess. Right rear leg is all white and the white climbs up on to his back.
5:10 a.m. Tiny little girl with perfect markings. She's got a white dot on her rump. She also has some issues. Her front feet were kinda' clenched into little fists but they seem to be straightening out. Her tail is something I've never seen before. She must have been squished in Mama's tummy. That would explain why she's so small. I think her tail will still go up on her back and hopefully be just fine but I dunno'. She is eating and seems strong but I'll put her on a tittie every time I go in there just in case. I think it's a miracle she made it.
5:25 a.m. This guy has a small white line on his rump. He has a full and fairly even white collar. A little thicker on the right side. 1/2 of his tail is white too.
7:30 a.m. He's got a thick white collar but only on the right side. His tail isn't as white as the others. He seems to be the darkest at this point and the longest.
8:45 a.m. This little lady has a big white patch on the back of her neck. She also has a tiny little white line on her rump. A little white on her nose too. Her front legs are totally white. She's darker than #1.
10:25 a.m. This poor little guy was still born. I tried to wake him up for 20 minutes to no avail. He was the lightest of all the babies.
11:20 a.m. This guy is the darkest. His white collar comes up on both sides but doesn't meet in the middle. He's got a white nose and a little white mark on his rump. His tail is about 1/3 white.
12:20 p.m. Another tiny line of white on his rump. The right side of his neck is white. His nose is a little white and a tad more on the left.
< Number's 1 & 2. He just looks bigger cuz he's closer.

I'll start labeling them a little better once I've had some sleep. Shaye and Remy, who get to have one of these baby girls, came up with this litters' theme and nicknames. We're going with Disney Royalty! Thanks you guys!!! Good job!!!

03/08/2021 Babies are two days old. The tiny little girl isn't going to make it I'm afraid. I can't get her to eat. Mama and everybody else are doing great.

As soon as I get caught up on tax returns I'll assign nicknames and try to label the pictures a little better.
You can see the pink noses. Those will all turn black in the next few weeks. Just the pad part. The area around their noses will stay white. Usually black stays black and white stays white but the rest of them will lighten considerably.

< You can see how much smaller the baby girl #3 is in just two days. Sweet little thing is a fighter but I think she's losing the battle.

03/11/2021 Babies are five days old. Sorry to report we lost the little baby girl. She's now at Rainbow's Bridge with her brother and her daddy.

#1 and #6 are girls. The rest are boys. I did manage to assign names. See above in the whelping order. I'm going to devote Sunday to just puppies! Tax people can go jump in the lake! Yes, I seem to be having a minor nervous breakdown. hehehe

Noses are filling in already!
Tried to take pictures of their backs and then their faces so we can see which face goes with which white patch pattern. That didn't work out so well. I'm learning who's who slowly but surely though. :)
Eyes will be opening in another week or so.
