    Today, July 24th, 2016, we purchased a 
           beautiful little girl who we'll call
Tokuguay's Ama No Uzume  "Ahmee" (Ah-me) 
Thanks again to Samantha and Tokuguay's Akitas.  I just know we found the perfect new friend.  It really took some doing and months of searching but we found her right in our back yard.  Practically.  Welcome little angel.  We love you already!
Ahmee and her litter mates had a bit of a rough start.  Pictured here at about 6 weeks they appear to be a little behind in their growth.  We're sure they're going to catch up and be big strong Akitas.  Samantha has been bottle feeding them since they were 2 1/2 weeks old.  While moving from Illinois to Wisconsin their mama got loose and it's a miracle they ever got her back.  We know the feeling.  Just ask Suji Moo.  Tokuguay's Gun's and Scarlet Roses "Sasha" was recovered a week later but by then unable to nurse so Sam continued to bottle feed.  Thank you for your dedication Sam!  We'll take it from here. 
  Fortunately Sam is after the same qualities that I am.  BIg bear heads, small thick ears, almond shaped eyes, tightly curled tail and a short stocky muzzle.  Which we believe are the AKC's standard for our beloved Kitabears.

07/29/2016 Little Ahmee is 8 1/2 weeks.
First day home!
She's ALL Akita!
Hmmm, digging in her water dish.  That's new.  hehehe
Just had our first visitor and she was a little hesitant.  She's already mine as far as she's concerned. 
Wet feet. 
Isn't she adorable ?!?!?!?!  Now we just have to grow big and strong!  In the puppy kit that I got from the breeder, which is sponsored by Purina, it says large breed dogs should have puppy food until they're two years old.  When did that change?  I have to ask the vet that too!
Love her to pieces already!
I'll keep updating as she grows.  She's going to be just gorgeous and she's very smart.  I can tell.  :) 
Sam sent some really little baby pictures.  Precious.  
08/21/2016  She'll be 12 weeks tomorrow.  My little monster is just that, a MONSTER!  She's over confident, sassy, outspoken and a vampire piranha!  Who could ask for more?!?!
< Took her about 2 minutes to figure out the steps.

< Meeting Whiskey.  Hopefully, when Whiskey is done with this upcoming litter, I'll be able to put the two girls together.

I only put her outside a couple hours atta' time so far.
They go through some wild stages but at 12 weeks they say that's what they'll look like all grown up. 
14 weeks
Just had another bath and this is the first time on a leash.  Funny, she kept looking back to see if I was still attached.

09/24/2016 Ahmee will be 17 weeks in a couple days. I love her more every day. 
She is soooooooo Akita.  Who needs a human?  I can walk myself. 
01/11/2017 Ama No Uzume is almost 7 1/2 months old.  I took these a couple weeks ago.  It was her first snow. 
I love her so much I just put a deposit down on a 1/2 sister.  New baby, born Dec. 1st and she shares a daddy with Ahmee. New baby doesn't have a name yet.  Wanna' see her mama's side of the family?
I put cookies in empty milk cartons.  Gives um' something to do for a little while.  Ahmee doesn't even bother to sit up.  Apparently she had a rough day outside with Whiskey today.

Forgot to put some of these on here so they're a little out dated.  Oh well.  :)  I wish I had my tiny puppy back.  They grow up waaaaay tooooo fast!!!
So far so good.  I hope they will continue to get along.  Ahmee is almost as big as Whiskey already. 
01/16/2017 Baby girl is 7 1/2 months old.  It's like somebody fed her Miracle Grow or something. 
02/12/2017 Baby girl is 8 1/2 months old. She's already the boss out in the kennel.  Whiskey submits.  But then there's Ahmee's little 1/2 sister who just moved in.  Shiyoko is only 10 weeks and she isn't submitting to Ahmee.  So, those two won't be able to live together I don't think.  Don't let those looks fool you.  Shiyoko is a MONSTER!  Ahmee was easy.  :)

I think she's just beautiful.  She's really going to be big too.  And, she's mostly a very good girl.  I LOVE HER TO PIECES!!!
I took the pictures below at the end of May.  It's the end of July now.  Next heat we're going to try to have a picnic!
She LOVES playing in her pool and she and Whiskey are still best buddies.  Knock on wood.

11/13/2017  Meme is a year and a half now.  We'll see if she won't have some little kids for us this next heat.  Suji and YoYo are in heat right now.  Yo is too young and I think Suji is too old.  We're going to try it though.  I've been walking Grommet almost every day to get him back in shape.

Pools are put away and the barn is all closed up.
Heated buckets are out and plugged in and the barn and shed are packed with nice warm straw.  There are two dog houses inside the barn and Yo has an igloo in her shed.  Everybody is winterized!

Sam just entered these guys/these photos, in the Ohio Dobie Club's Virtual Dog Show.  Daddy Riggs got First in Class and Winner's Dog.  Mama Sasha got Reserve Champion. (Second place out of 4 Champions - 2 male and 2 female)

March 24, 2018.  We're patiently waiting for the new little man to show up.  We're hoping to breed Ahmee with Ari as soon as he's old enough. 
May 23, 2019.  Almost three years old!  That's hard to believe!!!  We've got the new daddy now and he's rarin' to go!  We're just waiting for Ahmee to cooperate! 
She's so sweet and she loves her mama!  She brought me a baby snake on our last walk.  I don't think she could figure out why I wasn't happy with my present and trying to flee!!!
Sept. 6, 2019.  Almost three and a half.  She's a special girl.  Probably the smartest in her generation.  Suji has um' all beat.  All the new kids are less stress.  I don't think any of them have ever tried to escape.  We're still waiting for MeMe to come into season.  I must have missed one during tax time.  Lord's will.  I walk these guys at least every other day and I watch.  I'm glad she held off so we don't have two litters atta' time!  Isn't she perdy?  :)
Just awarded her In't. CH.  Her human is awesome.  She's RATI and TKN now too.  (Rat instinct award and Trick Dog - Novice.  :)
